A pre-approved grant relationship model of fiscal sponsorship is ideal for those institutions carrying out charitable work that are already legally incorporated but lack 501(c)(3) status; or, foreign charities that are seeking support from U.S. funders. Although our Supported Organizations are separate and legally independent from The Ocean Foundation, we practice a high degree of oversight to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
