LiVEBLUE: Live like you love the ocean
There's plenty of bad news about the ocean, and the battles we fight seem never ending. But neuroscience tells us that bad news and fighting aren't always the best way to build a movement. The world's most successful brands grew by promoting love and happiness, not statistics and information. As social animals, gratitude, kindness and social norms motivate and connect us to something bigger than ourselves. LiVEBLUE projects build the global ocean network by building our tribe of supporters (100BLUEANGELS.org) and spreading gratitude (BlueMarbles.org); deep exploration of the mind-ocean relationship through cognitive neuroscience (MindAndOcean.org), sharing our findings and emotions through art and media (OceanVoices.org) and by promoting "blue" businesses and everyday solutions.
