How to Give

Field of Interest Funds

The Ocean Foundation’s Field of Interest Fund is the philanthropic equivalent of a Mutual Fund:  it is a portfolio of individual grants managed by experts in the subject area.  Investing in a TOF Field of Interest Fund is an efficient way to pool your resources with other individuals who have similar goals. With a professional TOF manager to allocate and monitor the fund's resources, you have far more leverage and impact than if each donor were to try to identify the best projects in the field and donate their funds directly to those projects. This collectively increases your philanthropic impact, as your donation is combined with others to provide grants to nonprofits, universities, and community organizations around the world.
